 What is COM101 series?
It is a set of two devices. One device is connected to the handlebar and the other device is a complete headset with appropriate bracket and accessories to be connected and used with the helmet. The device works on DSSS wireless and has 3 important functions.

(a) Mobile phone
(b) Multimedia devices (as mp3, radio, cd, GPS, etc.)
(c) Priority in intercom full duplex with a passenger using another device for helmet.

What are the different combinations of usage of the features?
(a) Rider talking on a cell phone.
(b) Rider communicates with the passenger.
(c) Rider talking on a cell phone while passenger listens to music. This will allow communication privacy.
(d) Rider listens to music.
(e) Rider & Passenger listen music
(f) Rider & Passenger are together in communication with telephone subscriber [conference].

What is the communication range of the device from the base?
Both rider and/or passenger units has a communication range of 10 to 12 feet from the base unit (Motorcycle Handlebar).

What are the different name or designations for the units?
The unit on the handlebar connected with the bracket is called COM101B (BASE)
The headset unit on the helmet connected with the bracket is called COM101H (HELMET)

Do I always have to pair [synchronize] the device?
No. You just need to pair it for he first time. When you switch on the unit on your next use the light on the device remains green, showing that it is synchronized.

Do I need to use the bracket to connect COM101B on the handlebar?
It will depend on your motorcycle handlebar. You can use the bracket only if your handlebar is cylindrical in shape. If you face any difficulty in using the bracket, you can use Velcro and put the base unit in an appropriate place to access it without any difficulty.

Do I always need to remove the COM101B from the Handlebar for recharging?
It depends. If the user wants to leave the unit permanently on the handlbar, you can simply plug the cigar lighter with its female socket plugged on the battery.

Is the battery inside removable?
The battery is not removable and you should never try to open the units. Let the specialized people at COMSYSTEMS service center do this for you.

Do I need to turn off the units for recharging?
It is better to switch off the unit during recharging. The time required to recharge will be shorter.

If I use a cell phone or Mp3 with bluetooth connectivity, is there an option to use a bluetooth device instead of cable to connect to the base unit?
Yes, you can use the Bluetooth device using an appropriate accessory that can be plugged on a 2.5mm jack. You can find this device on accessories section and add on each product to buy.

What is the difference between similar product using bluetooth and our device?
The most important feature is to attain combination of different communication modes at the same time. For example, the rider can access the device by using the buttons on the base unit [which is safe] and at the same time, the passenger can access it by using the buttons on the headset. The different way of communications are the intercom and at the same time we can access phone and the multimedia device.

What is the maximum speed at which I can travel and use my device com101series?
The rules for security indicate that the motorcycle driver should have maximum attention on the road when the speed increases. If an incoming call comes, it is better to reduce the speed for a safe/comfortable speech. The music or intercom doesn’t have an influence on speed but it is better to hear music at a comfortable speed.
